Cultural diversity is a good all

this title travels with the ninth edition of Festad'Africa Festival, International Festival is small, the great social and cultural impact, which makes an appointment to the Roman public to Palladium Theatre - University Roma Tre,
Piazza Bartolomeo Romano, 8, Garbatella area, 15 to 18 September 2010.

Festad'Africa is conceived and directed by actress-director Daniela Giordano, and organized since 2002 by CRTscenaMadre, has helped to create in Italy and in Europe a different understanding of the African continent, promoting circulation and presentation large performances from Africa or created in co-production, while also contributing to the renewal of the proposed show in the country and offering new job opportunities for young artists, technicians and specialists in the field of art or study.

The new composition of contemporary society in which we live - Jordan says - multiethnic and multicultural, compels us to reflect on the value of diversity as an opportunity to deepen the value of our identity in relationship and dialogue with different cultures.
The great global economic downturn brings with it the serious risk of violent and racist behavior and that we must tackle, feeding and supporting the promotion, production and circulation of ideas and art. The impoverishment of culture is in fact the basis of religious intolerance and xenophobic attitudes of which we are witnesses.
It must not let our guard down and engage in vigorous action that constantly create opportunities for constructive debate and dialogue between cultures.
With this in mind we decided to make the ninth edition, the festival has suffered this year in spite of pesantissiimi and unjustified cuts in funding. The results
Festad'Africa Festival has achieved since 2002, and can confirm that strategic, but also ethical and moral investment in culture contemporary, and that this action cultural, social and political, must be defended with our utonomo act, we free citizens and we artists, especially when the institutions are careless or impotent
.
